Congratulations David, I found this to be a very informative read. It was most interesting, especially the concept of being proactive in the prevention of classroom misbehavior. It seems like such a simple thing, but when in place it would be truly effective. I look forward to reading more of your reflections in the future, and wish you luck in the remainder of your studies.

I realise my comment didn't post the way I wanted, possible because I used 'pointy' brackets which it reads as code.

Anyway the format I suggested for citing PD sessions is as follows:
(presenter last name), (initial) (year), '(Session title)' presented at (conference name in italics) on (date)

Hopefully this posts correctly!

Hi David,
Looking good! You've obviously taken a lot away from the PD sessions you have attended, and from your readings in the area you appear to have developed some neat strategies for dealing with your students.
Perhaps you should also formally cite the PD sessions - I don't know the exact convention, but something like , , '' presented at on would more than likely do.
Keep it up!

I like the way you have set out your goals - especially in that they are longer-term. I think you will learn a lot from your experiences and reflections, and so will we now that you have this forum for sharing! Good luck!!

Assignments annoy me too! And don't worry about 2000 word essays, end of semester reports are much, much worse (or so I'm told...)!
