Kui sirutud tähtede poole, siis ei pruugi sa nendeni ulatuda, kuid sulle ei jää muda pihku.
When you reach for the stars, you might not get to them, but at least you aren’t left with only mud in your hands.
In other news I have done 10/24 pages and now doing th subjects pages, Alot of the pages finished are in the last two areas.

Ive finally decided to move my portfolio over here and sort it out properly for once instead of having it all over my computer. So over the next little while you should see new things come and go as I see to that.
As well as that, I have finally found out what school I am going to be doing my alternative placements at: Hurstbridge Primary, which is a lovely drive from here. It is a brand new school buildings wise though it is of a reasonable size (500+ students)
Along with all of that, I somehow managed an HD for my ECL presentation along with a D and C for my ESM assignments. SO all is well but stressful as always here

Whilst I will be writing up a more detailed and thought out writing about semester 1 of my final year, I thought that I might put some of my actions up here so that it can help me remember what I have achieved this semester. This semester I have participated or organised in a lot of different though interconnected things such as:
- Teaching Science to Grade 6’s – including writing of reports
- Practicum with the Grade 3/4’s
- School Camp with the 5/6’s
- PMP with the Preps
- PE and Sport with the Grade 3/4’s
- Planning 3rd Term for the Grade 3/4’s
- Treasurer of the PD week at Deakin University
- PTM member for EXE401
- ECA409 – Teaching the Arts in Primary School
- ESH416 – Primary Physical and Health Education
- ESS340 – Primary Science Education
- EST400 – Primary Technology Education
- EXE401- Professional Relationships
and probably lots of stuff I have missed out too.

I was just checking over my Edublogs page before I present to the class which I am in at the moment, when I discovered that they have gone and changed the entire front end of the site as well as the mechanics behind it all. Whilst it initially looks very different though potentially easier to use, I have found it annoying since nothing is where it should be anymore.
Oh well time to practice and learn on the fly whilst presenting. This should be interesting

Woot finally I have finished science off. Man it is hard doing 5 subjects especially in my final year. At least I have 3 weeks off now until those little 3rd years come back from practicum and I have to go back to science for the last two weeks
Oh well the assignments are done and all I need now do is a test and I shall be finished that unit.
Reminds me I got my assignment back for Technology and he said (as he said to basically everyone else) “that I had covered it with a broad brush” and then he gave me 29/40 so it couldn’t have been that bad/ Along with the HD in the first science assignment, I think I am going well with 5 subjects so far.
Hmm I really shouldn’t try to write up things at 2am in the morning, I don’t make much sense at this hour. Oh well I shall end it here then.
I shall see you all laters
Go Geelong!

Well the title says it all really. Finally finished this EXE assignment which has taken ages to organise and not long to put down on paper. Now to go on with the multiple other assignments due to be handed in soon.
- Science essay
- Art portfolio
- Technology Bird House + Presentation
- Music assignment x 2
- Science Test
- June Reflections for EXE
- Health Assignment
- HOLIDAYS! (finally some time to actually do my portfolio)
That is all from me for the moment, now instead of relaxing I have to go off to work. What an annoyance oh well such is life.

Lets start with a rhetorical question. Why does it always rain when you least want it to? I shall leave it as rhetorical since the discussion an get very long winded if you leave it open especially involving weather patterns, God, Murphy’s Law and all of that.
Whilst I was out on teaching rounds, one of the first things that we did as a class was to create rain gauges. This bought in a whole range of skills and knowledge and fitted well into their new topic of Water. For the next three weeks it basically refused to rain at al which meant we could not do any of the follow up activities. Now that I have finished placement it has rained quite heavily twice in two days. Today was only supposed to be cloudy and thats what it looked like until it just started pouring down and well with how cold it is the hail that fell totally covered the ground. It ended up making my car look white instead of blue. Why couldn’t this have happened when I was out on rounds? It would have made the topic a little bit easier to teach if we had actually had some water come from the sky.
Later on ill even add photos so you can see our wonderful whiteness that wasn’t snow (pity.)

There has been one thing that has at times frustrated, annoyed or plain broken me about uni. That is assignments. It is usually not the fault of the assignments themselves (though it is sometimes,) it is the fact that all of them are always due at the same time. This week I have 3 assignments due with another massive one due in next week. Why do they always have to be at the same time? Can’t people get together within a course and separate them out a little? Oh well I hope that after this year I will not have to worry anymore about writing an “2000 word essay.”
